from now on the unofficial CentOS successor Almalinux is available as operating system for our managed and root servers. The right new Almalinux is compatible to CentOS and is considered as one of the best successors of this operating system.
Almalinux is completely binary compatible to Red Hat Enterprise Linux and thus also to CentOS. Users who would like to migrate from CentOS 8 to Almalinux 8, the manufacturer provides a migration script. This script can be downloaded directly from the site or under the following link on GitHub: https://github.com/AlmaLinux/almalinux-deploy.
