This could be because you have reached the maximum number of invalid login attempts. Our Plesk servers are secured with fail2ban and register any failed login attempts to the following services:

  • Plesk management interface
  • SSH accesses
  • FTP accesses
  • Email accesses (IMAP, POP3 & SMTP)
  • Wordpress installations

Therefore, check if you have accidentally logged into any of the above services by mistake. If this is the case, you don't have to do anything but wait for 10 minutes. Your IP address will be automatically unlocked and access will work again. In some cases, it is also often due to the fact that an email mailbox has not been set up correctly and therefore incorrect login attempts are generated. This does not have to be only on the computer concerned, but can extend over your entire network in your house. Since we block your public IP address if there are too many incorrect login attempts, it is possible that all electronic devices will no longer have access to the server.

If you can't find the error and you are repeatedly locked out from the server, send a message to our support. We will be glad to help you.
